Oregon Garden & Silver Falls Tour
Your day begins with a drive to the unique E.Z. Orchards farm. Enjoy the farm store featuring fresh fruits, unique apple cider, and strawberry shortcake. The freshly made donuts are a great treat while you wander the site. Then we are off to the Oregon Garden, a must see Oregon destination featuring 80 acres of plantings with 20 specialty gardens. The included narrated Tram Tour through the garden is a great way to experience it all. Panoramic views enhance the visit.
From the Oregon Garden we drive through historic town of Silverton and then begin climbing the foothills of the Cascade Mountains enroute to Silver Falls State Park. Established in 1933, the park is considered the crown jewel of Oregon’s park system. With over 9,000 acres the park includes ten waterfalls. Our visit allows time to walk to some of the viewing areas or to hike to the trail “behind” 177 foot tall South Falls, a unique experience. Enjoy a bite of lunch (no host) at the historic Silver Falls Lodge. Upon departure, we return to Salem with one last photo stop to take in the panorama of the Willamette Valley from the South viewpoint. The variety of attractions on this tour truly represent the best of Oregon.
